This passion led her to pursue a career in the arts, and she graduated from Winthrop University with degrees in both Dance and French. While teaching at a boarding high school in northern Indiana, Culver Academy, Maggie developed an interest in Pilates as a complement to the dance technique she was helping to develop for male athletes. She immediately realized the benefits for all bodies and the method’s ability to create new pathways of awareness. Through this awareness, small changes in posture or mobility effect huge changes in quality of life. Determined to learn more and buoyed by the support of her husband, Maggie moved to Pittsburgh in 2010 and completed Harmony’s Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training Program in 2011. Maggie is also a dance instructor at the Jewish Community Center in Squirrel Hill where she enjoys sharing her love of movement to both children and adults alike.
